My company has the copyright from Cartoon Network, especially on their characters like Ben10,

We got copyrights for CN’s new version of ben10 to do merchandise for kids. I did some basic T designs and got approval from CN . It is produced and will be in market soon. This is the first time I am trying to in fashion design segment with out any prior experience and technical specification but our senior byer has thorough knowledge about all technical side of fashion, so I added it thanks to suma sunny. I feel like I can do fashion designing, and as we are the copyright holder for Animal Planet too, I would definitely try for them , and make something different I hope. This a a good opportunity for me as I am a fan of Animal Planet . Wait for more I got approval for 30 designs but i am adding a 4 now.

There is a trifling but painful story behind the making of toonz.

Last year I was so disappointed with the fate of my previous company after a well-orchestrated financial fraudulence by its CEO and owner. It failed miserably in the market due to financial irregularities and less transparency.

After achieving the award for a best expanding retail stores even at the time of recession, we met a harrowing time in our life. Widespread panic among professionals in Bangalore was visible.. Even reports were coming about the suicides of employees in IT companies. We had no other way left except quit the company. We, a team of 18 people quit one day. (the compensation promised is not paid even today.) The same Split group planned a new company at the same segment in retail market. But due to the recession, our effort to draw financial assistance form any quarters haven’t met any success. Our team mates waited for the birth of the new company but it didn’t draw any attention from venture capitalists or any other investors. .. One by one.. all aspirants of our new company have joined in some other companies and a few left on board… my mind was losing confidence when anxiety about financial crisis soared.. and was resorting to some self-emancipating smokes to tide over all the vagaries of the deluge of financial meltdown. We felt like everything around us built on capitalist speculations.. Doom day is coming..??? many of us opined like that.. A few left in our team , 3 directors, and a fashion designer, and a financial manager. I left to kerala by losing what ever I earned financially from my Bangalore life. Selling everything ..from my T V to house hold utensils to my bike to……..i remember.. At least I left with my computer..my saviour..My closest pal..I couldn’t find anybody whom I helped financially in my good time to solace me, to mop my tears or at least to .…In kerala I reached as the same what I was before coming to Bangalore 6 years back …for 8 months..I lived a gypsy, a nomad, a drunkard. A lover…an anarchist. Like an orphan’s life in an unaccepted folk song…After 8 months….

I have been called to Bangalore for a discussion about the launch of our new company and to do the initial design works. The name toonz finalized and I have been asked to do some logo samples for toonz. Our concept was to get copy rights of iconic cartoon characters and design, produce and sell products for kids. So cartoon stuck in my mind and thought of doing some logo related to cartoon. I submitted the samples and we gone for voting. Apart from the voting I took all the samples to many kids to know which one they like most. The logo which got more votes from the kids and other teammates was finalized. The toonz was born… I am thankful to my 3 directors for giving me hope at all my difficult time.

Now Toonz Retail Indian Pvt Ltd, is where I am a solid part.

The ToonZ logo is a blend of modernity and Innovation in kids retail segment. The stylized round font encapsulates the softness and tender feeling towards kids and aims to showcase the magical experience of international fashion at indian price. The two jelly balls in the logo shows the sweet candies which has been the much sought confectionery for kids. It creates an ambience more sweet for kids. The Toonz epitomizes fashion, Innovation, and the over all kids mind, and this has been astutely brought out in the look and tone of the identity conceptualized…

Now I breath perfectly ….standing on the debris of the collapse of many colossal dreams, most of the cases it was because of the unprecedented flood of financial crisis. Now I can have a drink with you and take any challenge in my future. I am thankful to those who left me in lurch, and teaching me what a relation, a love affair, a friendship is…..and making me experience what a compassion of a hot breath and a wild kiss is…

This concept i have done for Sarovara.

Accidently we came across some incidents and got to know that this bar is in JP Nagar is for sale.

My friend is the manager and he given the news about the sale and we were desperately trying for investors to buy this one which is in a dilapidated condition if we compare this to other bar & restaurants in Bangalore. But One of my other friend who fortunately met a person related to asianet channel who agreed to invest money after convincing that he is capable of v=bringing it uo form the troubled waters. Now sarovara in jp nagar is a joind property of my find and his investor for 1.25 crores.

Who is that my lucky friend ?? I will disclose later. He asked me to give a new look for this old fashioned bar to something new and cost friendly. Here this is my concept.

I tried to develop some theme design which have to be used in Toonkidz showrooms.

But it is not conformed that which one has to go to the floors. I ve taken one design element which i ve posted earlier, to use in a T shirt (really what i do for a fun.) Same design elements cropped and meticulously used in different style to get a feeling of a "riot of coloures ".

This can be used in different kind of accessories and stationery if it is placed deftly.

This cover design is done for one of infosys’s magazine,which has been Published in different languages in many European and other countries. The theme of the latest issue is demographic banking. In a same platform, new generation banks deal with different kind of population and services. So I had to illustrate something that shows an ensemble of different elements in a same kernel. One of a master heads suggested me to visualize, of different kind of gems in a same shell. I believe, I did a good job and it can be communicated with some texts. But it is rejected by the client, because it failed to communicate the theme..( I content..anyway of quality, that is never a reason for them) Alas!!! IT’ens see the visuals through some meticulously programmed intellect, based on a business platform. But on one matter, I can agree. Especially in IT business software ‘hits’ a customer more than its interface designs. So is the magazine, what they think. But any way the layout of the magazine (already accepted by the client) is so pure. (Narayanmurthy….Please note the point..Ha.. Ha….) I really stunned, being a wonder in IT industry, how this kind of small areas have been neglected by the company. I didn’t see any of Infosys’s software and its interfaces. One question I had in mind then…who is the first person to suggest the designs..? A good designer or the owner of a company?. What ever it is...let it be there. right?? I did new one what I don’t like and sent it. I would like to show you this cover only because I would like this more than any covers what I did recently
How I did(for PS users): I painted the shell in Photoshop referring some photographs , created background in the same and taken some images of pearls and trinkets from photography sites, Cut it and arranged, given shadows manually. I suggest my friends those who carefully try to study PS.. Try to do shadows and highlights manually. it helps the illustration to be clandestine among original photographs, that strew more hues than real…...really hypernatural …!!!!!

I sat down on the concrete bench in the rain...i got soaked completely with a shivering sigh... i felt stinging cold. it was drizzling and .. was touching me with its frozen fingers.. I could feel again the same grind of monsoon ..and i saw.. water flowed through the green bylanes and scribbled some unknown words...When it abated with a whistling.. i recall.. where we have been ......the same time...same day....when was it...?i recall ... years ago....Do you remember... Dont you........?!! We were together.. talking about some worthless pulp fictions.... I soaked...completely...A few drops came down through out the day.. i was back here after struggling a lot to get a ticket...but i had to do so to be here once again...again..I sat down on the same bench...where we have been spending our own time...some years ago...i dont know..now where you are..i heard... out of kerala...even if i left tht place ..i had to go back to the same place to stabilise myself...to capture all the pixels which had gone blurred in to forgiveness..So yesterday, when a steady soft rain began and continued, I was in a bad mood. The temperature has drastically fallen, and as I sat at the table beside an open window for many hours last evening and heard the sound of rain dropping onto my mossy parapet of my antique college, it was breathing feebly... This is for you...I had to illustrate something to keep in my wallet...i dont know.. you might have seen this clouds.. It has got all the colors of our beautiful memories of calicut..... Now, when I look out the windows of my office and across the bustling road to the far greenery, I see leaden sky and heavy wheatish clouds. It's beautiful...................... but colorless
